Personal data administration

The party that administer the personal data provided for the purpose of registration to IWoMCDM'21 is the University of Economics in Katowice (UEK), ul. 1 Maja 50, 40-287 Katowice, Poland. All questions regarding data processing should be directed to the Data Protection Officer at: brw@ue.katowice.pl. For questions regarding the data use for the conference organization please contact the Organizing Committee at: mpar@ue.katowice.pl.

Data processing and sharing

Personal data provided by IWoMCDM participants are stored, processed and used according to the Regulation (EU) 2016/679 of the European Parliament and of the Council of 27 April 2016 on the protection of natural persons with regard to the processing of personal data and on the free movement of such data, and repealing Directive 95/46/EC (General Data Protection Regulation).

Personal data submitted on IWoMCDM website are used for identification of the workshop participants required for organizing and scheduling the workshop. The data can be shared with third parties that are onvolved in the process of workshop organization, such as hotels, tourist agencies, publishers etc.

The personal data of IWoMCDM participants are stored for minimum two years from the registration date, which is required by the editorial procedures for submissions published in post-workshop proceedings or journal special issues. The data can be stored longer for the purposes of some administrative works related to analyzing the history of IWoMCDM events.

Rights to data access and modifications

Each IWoMCDM participant has the rights to::

  • access her/his personal data,
  • correct her/his personal data,
  • delete her/his personal data,
  • restrict the data processing of her/his personal data,
  • object to processing her/his personal data (which do not affect the processing rights of UEK, before the object was placed),
  • transfer her/his personal data.
The IWoMCDM participants shall have the right to bringing administrative proceedings to the supervisory authority if she or he recognizes that data processing in eNego system violates Regulation (EU) 2016/679 of the European Parliament and of the Council of 27 April 2016 on the protection of natural persons with regard to the processing of personal data and on the free movement of such data, and repealing Directive 95/46/EC (General Data Protection Regulation).

Obligation to provide personal data

Providing the personal data on IWoMCDM'21 eNego is voluntary but required to register and participate in IWoMCDM'21.
